Measuring is knowing

Okay, statistics and numbers weren’t my favorite parts of school either. Still, it’s necessary to have insight and look at them thoroughly (even if you sometimes don’t have the time). By looking at the results, you get valuable information that you can use to adjust your actions. And luckily, they’re easy to study even without a math head.American LinkedIn expert Andy Foote wrote last week that the number of privacy settings on LinkedIn has grown enormously in 6 years. From 9 settings in 2012, c level executive list  to 27 settings now! A few weeks ago, a new tab for advertisements was even added. Why all these changes? And which buttons should you keep a close eye on? Let’s have a look!

its terms of service
new terms of use
changes to the privacy and cookie policy*
*Officially, the latter is prompted by the upcoming GDPR legislation . Also the integration with various Microsoft products, new functionalities and the voice of the user have certainly played a role here.

A number of changes provide users with new choices. We will highlight the most important ones for you. Go through them point by point and be, as LinkedIn puts it, the ‘boss’ of your account.

You can access the privacy settings by clicking on your own photo (me) in the menu bar.
