As mentioned earlier in this article, Google provides a list of current and outdated algorithms . While you can find these elements directly in their guide, I’ve summarized this crucial chemical manufacturers email lists information here.

Current classification systems

Here’s a list of the algorithms in use today. These ranking systems are essential to know if you want to improve your site’s visibility on Google’s search results.

Outdated filing systems

Here is a list of systems that are no longer used by Google. Note that they have not completely disappeared, but have simply been integrated into newer Google algorithms .

  1. Hummingbrid  : Google’s first algorithm for assigning meaning to words. Note that while Rankbrain isn’t active, this system still appears to be in use.
  2. Mobile-friendliness  : Sites that were best suited to mobile viewing were favored. This is still the case, but it’s an integral part of Page Experience.
  3. PageSpeed  : Loading speed (especially for mobile versions) is establishing a routine with days and times also included in “Page Experience”.
  4. Panda  : Thanks to this algorithm, original and high-quality content has been favored since 2011.
  5. Penguin  : Announced in 2012, this marked the beginning of Google’s fight against spam.
  6. Secure sites  : An HTTPS site has an advantage over an HTTP site. Again, this is part of the “Page Experience” ranking system.
